The Shimian, Catleap, and Crossover monitors use LG IPS panels. The Xstar and Qnix use Samsung PLS panels. PLS is Samsungs propriety version of IPS that most people seem to prefer. The PLS monitors are slightly lower priced for now. Besides that they all have plastic stands/bezels except the Crossovers which are all aluminum.

Monoprice also has an IPS 27'' that is a good option since they are American, I know there are a few other American ones but can't remember the names.
