Can't unlock voltage on XFX 7950

Thread Starter
I have an XFX 7950 black edition (single fan). I am unable to unlock the voltage in MSI Afterburner. I have the latest Afterburner and Catalyst drivers installed (i have the overclocking box unchecked in Catalyst). I have enabled the unofficial overclocking and also the AB patch (/xcl). I also have the voltage monitoring and voltage control unlock box checked in Afterburner. I have had no luck in unlocking the voltage. I have also tried Trixx, but it wont let me go over 1.20v. Can someone please help me? I have been trying to get it to unlock since yesterday.

xfx cards dont let you do voltage overclocking since they have lifetime warranty. I have heard of people manually soldering things onto them in order to unlock the voltage

Ive managed to get mine to work.
Use Trixx mod 4.4. Open both trixx and Msi.
Set voltage in trixx (keep it open) and then set same settings in msi as well and voila - voltage upped.
Msi makes no changes to volts, but trixx does.

Using just msi my voltage is capped at 1.204.
Using it in combination with trixx I can successfully set mine at 1.256 if i like.

I dont know if it'll work but you can surely try. Seems a bit finnicky to do it this way but it sure works.
