How to update 840 Pro firmware? Linux and no optical drive...

Thread Starter
So my system has a 256GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD, and I want to update to the latest firmware. My system has no optical drive, and it only runs Linux. Is there any easy way I can update the firmware? I tried writing the bootable ISO (from here) for updating the firmware to a USB flash drive using this program:
http://www.isotousb.com/

Unfortunately, the computer does not detect the flash drive as bootable. Is there any other way I can update the firmware without an optical drive using Linux?

Incase you don't realize, images on flash drives have to be on the root folder, as in, not in any folder at all. The patch has to be E:\(your iso)

But if that still doesn't work, when I went to update my 840 500GB I just got in 2 days ago, it wouldn't do it over the Samsung Magician. I had to use a CD ISO with an external optical.
