3770K/Extreme6 Combo at MC is 370.98
4770K/Extreme6 Combo will be 529.99 Give or take at launch.

Best route to go? Wait or spend? Maybe grab the 3770K now and when the 4770K drops down at MC grab it for 260?

I was in your dilemma about a week or so ago. Best Buy online price matched micro center and shipped me a 3770k to my door, it arrived in 2 days. It sat unopened for a week on my computer desk. Now being I didn't have a z77 board I got to thinking, should I buy a board and be happy or wait and just get haswell. Knowing myself all too well I would be happy for a month or so, then when all the people on here starting showing off there awesome Z87 boards and there shinny new 4770k's it would hit me and I wouldn't be able to take it. I took back the BNIB 3770k to my local best buy and got a refund, now I am impatiently waiting the new release. Just sharing my little story on your topic...cheers biggrin.gif

So I gave it some thought and am just going to wait and build with Haswell. Grab a 4670K and Z87 hero at launch then a 4770K when microcenter brings them down to 260

At this point, no reason really to not just wait... if for no other reason than for people to sell their stuff for a fair price.
