Watercooled Corsair 350D

Hey guys just thought I would post up my current build.

Corsair 350D
Asus Maximus V Gene
i5 3570K
Corsair AX760 PSU
Corsair Red Sleeved Cable Kit
Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz Red 8GB
Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz Black 8GB
Corsair Neutron GTX 240GB SSD
OCZ Vertex 2 60GB SSD x2
Koolance PMP-450 Pump
XSPC Dual Bay D5 Res
XSPC Raystorm CPU block
XSPC EX240 Radiator in the front
Alphacool Nexxos Xtreme Pro Rev. II 240mm up top
Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition x4
Corsair AF120 Quiet Edition x1
Primochill Advanced LRT ½" Tubing
Monsoon Red Compression Fittings
Bitspower Blood Red 45deg Rotary Fittings
Red LED Strip for motherboard backlighting
White LED Strip around case
Bitspower UV Cathodes

Waiting to see how much the GTX 780's cost to decided on one of those or a 770 or even just a 680.

Gonna be a really tight fit in the 350D, originally had a EX240 up top but it fouls on the 8 Pin power and fan headers up the top of the MVG so the Alphacool is on its way and will give me 5mm more clearance to play with. Will eventually get some good pictures to post up.

Did a little bit of work with the lighting last night. The idea was to have the red back lighting of the motherboard give it a nice glow which isn't really achieved while the white LEDS are on. I have both red and white lights setup on a dimmer but I might re-wire it so only the white are on a dimmer and invest in some side emitting red LEDS so they aren't overpowered.

All lights on

White LEDS off

As you an see the red gets washed out too much.

Wasn't anticipating the lack of UV glow while the white LEDS were on so I may just not use the white LEDS now, still unsure as I quite like seeing all the components.

Still tossing up between buying a cheap GTX 680 or waiting for the 780 to come out. This PC will mainly be used for BF4 and possibly the new COD if it isn't too much like console and the new engine is actually decent... Hopefully the new radiator comes this week so I can actually run the 8 pin CPU cable.

Good build, and also, a personal opinion, I don't like that combination of blue led with red tubing...just stay with the white and red.

Those are the UV cathodes, you can't really see them in person but the camera brings them out a bit more.

How are you going to mount the SSDs now that the SSD cage is gone?
Really nice what is it like building in that case

Plan is to mount the SSD's to the back of the motherboard tray. I'm still unsure if I will use my old OCZ drives or get another Neutron and run them in RAID 0...

Working with this case is nice, with the rad up top things get tricky but this is my first case with proper cable management which makes it a breeze compared to my old systems. although I'm sure that will change once I start doing the loop.

I ended up pulling out the red led strip behind the board and have a side emitting red light strip on the way. Hopefully with these I can get the red glow behind the board with the white led's dimmed.

Could you fit a 280 rad up top with that xspc d5 bay res? Also, is the front of the 350d actual metal or is it plastic?

Did it only foul with the fans attached?

I'm thinking of water cooling one of these cases, Have almost the exact same setup as you except with a GTX Titan.

I was planning on running the AX series of rads from XSPC, Although I was planning on running the top rad without fans.

If I can fit a 40mm thick rad up top without fans (Or fans mounted to the roof) I'll be happy smile.gif
