Watercooled Corsair 350D - Page 4

Do you think a thinner 280mm rad would fit?

E.g.
Magicool Slim 280mm (323 x 145 x 29mm)
Hardware Labs Black IceĀ® GT Stealth 280mm (316 x 153 x 31.3 mm)

I'll measure the gap when I get the chance, you could easily fit a tube res between a 780 and slim rad in the front, others have done it already. Only problem I'm having from the bay res is that it's a really tight fit and gives off a bit of vibration. I don't see why a 280 wouldn't fit in the front.

Got the loop filled and ready over the weekend, then went to boot it up and I get a Q-55 error and can't post with ram in the 2 slots closest to the CPU, they work fine in the other 2 slots though. So now I have to drain the loop to double check everything over. Anyone had experience with errors with this board? Really annoying after spending a few hours doing up these stupid monsoon fittings and getting a bayres bled...

I am thinking of doing a similar build myself. Could you post a picture of the front of the case?

Hi,

I'm thinking in make a new Build with the 350D, i hope you can help me with some concerns.

- In front is possible a 240mm*60mm or max 240mm*45mm?

- In top, the max radiator possible is 240mm*35mm?

- With a top radiator (240mm*35mm) can i put this reservoir?
* XSPC Dual 5.25" Bay Clear Reservoir - w/ D5 Variant Pump

Thanks for your time, i really appreciate your help. thumb.gif

Ok so bit of an update, I eventually finished the build and used it for about 1 week, then last night decided I would tear it all down and start over for two reasons. Reason one is to RMA the motherboard to fix the issue with only being able to use the 2 ram slots furthest from the CPU, reason two is the damn vibration that the XSPC Bay Res/D5 combo produces. It isn't noticeable while gaming, but while browsing or even coming up the stairs it drives me crazy and defeats the whole purpose for watercooling for me.

Once I get the motherboard back I will start re assembling the loop with an XSPC Photon tube res and Primochill UV Red Acrylic tubing, also going to also ditch the white led strip around with window in place of another two UV Cathodes, change the red LEDs in the waterblock for white and use a UV LED in the tube res, along with either Primochill UV Red or Mayhems UV Red coolant.

Also while I was using the PC, I was getting about 55-60c load temps on the CPU playing the BF4 beta and 40c on the GTX 780, both at stock clocks. From what I can gather the GPU temps are fine but CPU temps seem a bit high for a 3570k which isn't overclocked. Hopefully the use of rigid acrylic tube will help with seating the waterblock a little bit better than the old setup where it was slightly kinked.

Thats all for now, hopefully I can update this in the next few weeks.
