dual intel xeon 2687w build question

Thread Starter
ok so ive got the processors sitting on my desk, ive got the ASUS Z9PE-D8 WS board on the way from newegg and my 16 gb of crap pny ram (for now)
my question can you run the processors at their max turbo frequency all the time thru the bios i dont know if anyone has experience in this area but i know my asrock and asus z77 boards allowed even my non k 3770 to load all 4 cores at 4.1 and 4.3 on a single core i just havent read any information on if these xeons can do something similar

BTWi know that for gaming getting a hex core extreme edition would have been better but i wanted to goo "balls out" on this build which will eventually have quadfire 7970s and 64gb of ballistix tracers (if i can ever find the little bastards in stock)

ps a little teaser

Read the motherboard manual, I'm sure your motherboard has overclocking options.

lol its not here yet and i know the motherboard has OCing options just intel locked the xeons down so the only option is a bclk OC and i dont want to kill everything in my system lol but i dont know how turbo works for these processors i hope its like the 3770 and you can boost it pretty high

Nothing is stopping you from dling a digital version of the manual online. If the CPU has turbo frequencies, you'll be able to use them.
