TN LED Vs AH-IPS Panel LED

Right now I have an S27A950D 120 HZ 3D, and its got one tiny dead pixel on the bottom u cant really notice it unless you look for it, now I saw my friends Dell S2740L AH-IPS with Glossy Screen, it looks amazing the viewing angle its better than my Sammy and the colors are more natural looking, blacks are deep now he wants to trade with me, since I don't use 3D on my Sammy, I will have to sacrifice 120 hz to 60 hz but I will get better picture quality instead.

So what do you guys think Go with the AH-IPS LED with better picture and Better viewing angle but only 60 HZ or stay with my S27A950D with 120 HZ but with less picture quality. What do you guys think?

It depends.

I wouldn't trade my IPS back for a TN, no matter how 3D or 120Hz, or LightBoost or whatever things it was, since I do a bit of graphics designing and photo editing.

IMO, color accuracy>refresh rate, but it comes down to your preference. Do you game a lot on it? Or it's more movies, internet browsing and so on?

If you game, more fast paced games, or RPGs and the likes?

I'd say go with the IPS, even with 60refresh rate its not "that" much of a difference.
the difference you'll be seeing are the nice colors and viewing angles, aside from that depending on your monitor and his, the IPS could be more energy efficient.

Depends on your needs. If you want better motion quality, make sure you have the GPU for full framerate=Hz operation. For example, try viewing the TestUFO Moving Photo tes at www.testufo.com/#test=photo (in Google Chrome browser) while doing the Samsung Zero Motion Blur HOWTO. (Samsung 120Hz monitors have a strobe backlight like LightBoost too). That is what turning/strafing/panning looks like in games if you have perfectly matched framerate=Hz. So if you keep your 120Hz, and your GPU cannot do 120fps, then try improving your motion quality by upgrading your GPU to get the amazing motion clarity.

On the other hand, if you prefer color quality (but lots more motion blur), you will want to go for either an IPS or VA panel, especially if you do lots of graphics work, PhotoShop, or play slower games such as Civilization, etc.
