Great to hear, do report how it all goes! thumb.gif

Sorry for the delay in the update had been very buzy with my education in these last weeks before my summer vacation i got to make a last exam within to weeks biggrin.gif i have my new system assembled for about a week now im really impressed by the speed it is delivers the difference with my previous system is huge, and it dousnt do anything under for the I5 build a friend of mine has biggrin.gif
first thing i noticed when i installed the new XFX 850W blackedition psu was that i had a much more accurate voltage. the 550W antec deliverd voltages a tiny bit below the line requirements this one actualy delivers them a small bit above those. as for the clocks the sabertooth R2.0 delivers a ton of options i couldnt resist playing around a bit with some options already. Still need to find the best options for my usage tough but it is clear to me that there is some massive headroom waiting to be unlocked. for example I was able to run my ram 1333mhz kingston value ram on 1600mhz with the same clocks and voltage as 1333MHZ and i upped the FX8320 to 4,2ghz without turbo on using near its stock voltage. thumb.gif
also some next upgrades i plan on doing is getting a fan controller and installing some more LED fans for style and cooling i already got 2 glide stream green led 2000 rpm coolermaster fans installed but since there cables were to short and didnt want full 2000RPM spinning smile.gif i placed the corsair fans in front of the drive bays.
As far as cooling is concerend the system stays really cool the cpu wont go beyond 42 degrees under full load this is with arctic silver applied idle is more around 22 degrees i still got the liquid pro here. http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2840985
and the graphicscard no longer has any issues with running demanding games.
Farcry 3 on 1080P high DX9 settings runs really nice.
If you guys have some tweak settings for the sabertooth bios they are more then welcome. I like to take full advantage from its features and unlock its full potential.

congrats i told you the AMD FX setup is a very solid performer and will play games nearly as well as an I7 also if you want more performance get 1866mhz ram for the AMD FX they love both ram frequency and tight timings if you need any other help i have same motherboard but am using AMD FX 8350 i am at 4.8ghz x8 with 4x4gb of 1866mhz ram@1t command rate i also have my NB clocked at 2400mhz believe it or not it adds a good jump in performance but it is a bit twitchy to get completely stable with NB at 2600mhz i have taken my particular 8350 to 5.4ghz stable enough to run multiple benchmarks. I am also using coollaboratories liquid metal ultra and it is awesome i have a custom liquid cooling any help you might need or advice let me know.

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2779392 5.0ghz x8 100% stable
http://valid.canardpc.com/2841081 4.8ghz x8 my 24/7 100% stable overclock

I want to point out i have a I7 4770k haswell rig also setup with a gtx 780 in it which i was going to turn into my main rig but i decided not to because it runs way to hot and overclocks like crap and all in all i am not happy with Intel over alot of theyre BS they have been doing past few generations Intel has simply been letting us the consumers down with inferior low quality made products with crappy TIM on the die to IHS and improper contact between them and have also been targeting mobile market designs rather than desktop users also the way Intel has been slowly killing our ability to overclock and also fact Intel has truly gotten extremely greedy and all we can do is take it and they expect us to literally say TY i feel Intel doesnt give a rats @#$ about us the consumers they only care about theyre money in theyre pockets.

I feel until a huge dent occurs in Intels funds / income us the consumers will remain being treated like this hince why i went AMD.

That is why i now support AMD and have since SB i was on the bandwagon with the IB when little improvement was made with SB and fact Intel didnt fix the die to IHS and TIM issue that upset me it was a major issue that was widely known and complained about yet Intel did nothing to fix it and they do it again with haswell W T F is Intel thinking and what are they thinking with theyre pockets of course.

you should try overclocking that ram more, as it's a nice boost on AMD and im sure that you can push the CPU further too. Nice build tho wink.gif

My current settings I played around a bit with the multiplier and voltages i upped it to 4500mhz for all cores same with the memory i went to 1600mhz with 9-9-9-24 T1 timing with stockvoltage according to the elpida chip documentation i downloaded from there site. i figured these chips are virtualy the same as they sell for 1600mhz to kingston just with other settings on them and more loose timings. I upped the HT bus to 2600mhz and NB to 2600mhz as well.
I established my self a good picture of what this system is capable of and what each component is capable of.
The CPU can go much higher then its current clocks 4,7 on air should be no problem also it dousnt need that much more Vcore to do so.
The Memory could also achieve somewhat more performence its overclock potential should be somewhere between 1600 / 1866 depending on added Voltage and timings.
1866mhz will deliver a direct lockup on boot when you try it. however 1600mhz with 9-9-9-24 T1 seems to be rock stable.
There for my next step should be FSB+turbo overclocking. I want to try this guide on my specs http://www.overclock.net/t/1348623/amd-bulldozer-and-piledriver-overclocking-guide-asus-motherboard

congrats i told you the AMD FX series are performers and not to listen to all the Intel fanboys saying they are complete garbage advising I5's over amd FX 8320-8350 facts are performance is nearly identical to the I5 minus a few situations ( in alot AMD FX 8320-8350 is more near an I7 ) but this can be reduced with proper overclocking / tweaking on the AMD FX like you have learned the NB gives a very good bump in performance with added CPU clocks add to it once you get your ram timings tight as possible again the AMD FX rig will get a very nice bump in total performance FX series really like 1866mhz ram with tight timings once next gen game design comes into play using the AMD open64 compilers aka non biased compilers ( like presently are being used Intel compiler / CPU dispatcher that is only truly optimized for genuine Intel CPU's ) along with full 8 core utilization and proper multi threaded programming also adding in multi threaded rendering the AMD FX will get a very nice performance increase again also since you got the asus sabertooth 990fx AM3+ you can later throw a AMD steamroller in it and then get even more out of your hardware and sell the fx 8320 to make up most the difference.

http://www.agner.org/optimize/blog/read.php?i=49 scroll down till you see green and read it is about the biased Intel compiler / CPU dispatcher and goes upto mid 2012 so is very relevant given Intel is still doing this.
