so it's 3GB for $600....chances are board manufactures like evga, asus, msi and gigabyte will release 6GB versions. but prices will be close to $700 frown.gif ....also since it's based off of titan, does it mean that scaling will be poor too?

Allow me to clarify what I meant.

A reference card will overclock almost just as well as a semi reference if you're planning on slapping a water block on it. The exotic coolers of non reference cards are useless because you're discarding it for a block. The extra phases are useless because the cards are voltage locked. Even with GPU Boost 2.0 and overvolting, extra phases really don't come into the picture at such a low overvolt. Thus, not really worth waiting for non reference cards if you're going for water.

Truly radically redesigned cards such as the Lightnings and Classifieds are a different story that are rebuilt from the PCB up and binned. But then again those cards aren't just a few dollars more than reference.

Personally, a vanilla card with a water block is best way to go if you want one within the first couple months.

Definatly holding out for twice as many phases and better cooling for a few bucks more biggrin.gif

voltage locked? maybe for some like the 680's thats why you hang tight to see whats up with custom cards
Ref cards are weak so its good they lock them anyway.

custom board to me is not just a cooler change They may cost more but they hold value longer then weak ref cards
The titan is weak when it comes to pbc i expect the ref 780 to be walking on eggshells biggrin.gif

Adding voltage in custom board(8-10 phase cards if made) would be alot of fun

ALL 600 series were bios voltage locked. GTX 690 was hardware voltage locked. Even Titans are voltage locked to 1.2v. Remember the EVGA 680 classified? They had a EVBot that was a device that could adjust the voltage via hardware? Even that was disallowed by Nvidia basically destroying the entire 680 classified line. Software voltage modding and even hardware voltage modding are banned by Nvidia.

The GTX 780 will most definitely be voltage locked.

What do u guys think; worth a step up from 4gb sc+ 670s (provided it's offered in the step up program)? Minimal perormance increase, but im mostly intersted in the cooler and memory bus. However, I break 3gb of vram in skyrim already. Decisions decisions. ..
i wonder there will ever be a slip up of unlocked voltage on 780 smile.gif if not i hope its voltage locked is from bios and not hardware

How often do you post original content, whose "sources" of info doesn't come from other websites?

To answer your question, since your site is powered by Wordpress, with your own custom theme, a blog post can be seen as an article.

If you want me to revise my statement, here it is:

VideoCardz just loves posting up as many blog posts as possible based on existing rumors.

Most of this info came from Fudzilla and other "sources"

And if you're going to use other website images, at least have the courtesy to credit them.
