*nix news?

Thread Starter
What Linux/Unix/FOSS news sites do you guys follow?

I have Phoronix and Planet Arch Linux in my list, and Slashdot sometimes has good stuff. I would like to expand that list though.

distrowatch.com is a good one to keep and eye out on the different distributions out there.

I don't normally check sites out specifically for linux news but find a lot of tech news (linux included) on pages like TechCrunch, Lifehacker, and howtogeek.

As of recently it has mainly been coming out of howtogeek and some techcrunch here and there.

If others have good suggestions I would love to hear where to find out more information!

Literally just Hacker News: https://news.ycombinator.com/
(which is about more than just FOSS, but there is a heavy FOSS following on there).

I also occasionally pop onto OSNews.com but that site has been pretty crappy in recent years.

Pretty much the same as Plan9.

I'll occasionally look at Phoronix, but not much recently.

From the Open Source but not necessarily Free Software world I go to the following

BSD: http://aboutbsd.net/

Phoronix also covers BSD stuff

If you care about Ubuntu specifically (I don't but someone else might) there is OMGUbuntu at http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/ and Mark Shuttleworth's blog at http://www.markshuttleworth.com/
