[Kickstarter] Spintires - off road driving / simulator

Produced by Oovee™ Game Studios, Spintires is an Intel(R) award winning off-road driving experience designed to challenge the player's skill and endurance.

Take responsibility of operating large off-road trucks and venture across the all-terrain landscapes with only a map and compass to guide you.

Featuring a unique terrain deformation system and interactive environment, Spintires is never the same - regardless of how many times you play it.

This game could be so awesome, they have a demo you can try to see how it works. Very good terrain deformation and physics. It has been in development for a looong time, they just setup this kickstarter to actually get it finished and out for sale. I hope they make it.

Demo Here
There are 2 demo's, the older one has multiple vehicles and a better/larger map with some small delivery missions. The newer demo contains the large truck on a smaller map. Both Demo's are on the same page

This is very nice (if you're into that gaming tongue.gif)

It's like the 15-20 year old game Screamer 4x4 but then newer tongue.gif

And if you like the movie, be sure to try Off-Road Drive (I bought it via Steam a few years ago)

Off-Road Drive uses the same kind of physix (the mud etc...)

Be sure to use a steering wheel with a few programmable buttons (like Logitech Momo) because you need a lot of buttons...

Eg: front diff lock

rear diff lock

central diff lock

inflate tires

deflate tires

low gearing

high gearing

Using the winch

Etc... been a long time when I played Off-R D but HECK it's as fun as this game is going to be tongue.gif

For some reason I can't find DECENT movies... not even on the home page of the game tongue.gif

But you get the point! It's this, only WAY better drawn (if you got the hardware to run it wink.gif)

I actually bought that game not to long ago, it was in one of the indie bundles. I played through the tutorial and it was pretty good, I agree it had a lot of keys to remember... haha.

In the demo you start out in a truck and just go.

Which video did you watch? The game is still in Alpha stage I would guess... yes trees are a bit of a pain. I put a good amount of time into the demo, and it was fun just lugging around seeing how the trucks reacted to the environment. Forests definitely are OP at the moment..

Is that from the demo? They must have released a new one, because that has a different GUI than the one I played redface.gif

It's the most recent one, yes.
