Absolutely sick of my Titan - Page 2

Apparently it's against the rules to even mention it.

You're welcome.

Nice one, I'll give this a whirl.

I should have mentioned I've had just about every BIOS under the sun on my Titan & it never goes near the temp target yet still backs off.

Also is there any reason why a lot of the roms I'm downloading cannot be opened with Kepler tweaker and I get the vendor ID in NVflash as 00000?
Above issue always ends in a brick flash.

There are three things strange about this BIOS.

1. Are you telling us that Andre yang and Kingpin both used ASUS (1043) subvendor id BIOS ?

2. The BIOS version is 80.10.2C.00.06 (Date compiled = 2013-02-04). The BIOS version and date compiled exactly matches widely available ASUS (1043) retail BIOS. If it indeed is "pre-release engineering" BIOS, it should be older than retail BIOS which is version 80.10.2C.00.02 (Date compiled = 2013-01-23) with NVIDIA (10DE) neutral subvendor id.

3. Opening your attached BIOS crashes Kepler BIOS Tweaker v1.25 (I usually open BIOS with KBT to check basic information on BIOS before I flash). This is the first time KBT crahsing upon opening countless BIOS I've tried for Titans.

Am I missing something ?

Andre at least , if the subvendor is asus then I'm not sure about kingpin. However that's the file that's distributed on hwbot with the Titan voltmods so it's very much meant to be used with highly modded titans on extreme cooling.

I've actually never bothered with checking the date or the vendor ID, didn't consider them important. So no, I can't be sure what it exactly is but when I downloaded it it was listed on hwbot as pre-release engineering version so that's what I assumed it was.

Important thing is that it works.

here are the quotes from massaman at hwbot about it:
Quote:
There is a BIOS (can't post yet), but I'm not sure how necessary it is if you have all these mods too. Ask Vince or Andre ... they'll know
Quote:
Okay, here is the BIOS. It's the same like every other extreme overclocker is using but can't share. Basically:

- version 80.10.2C.00.00 = engineering bios
- version 80.10.2C.00.02 = retail bios

Vince = kingpin ofc.

So you locked the voltage but didn't adjust the power target? What did you expect to happen?

I wouldn't go using that on air. Even in the winter my card got way hot at 1.21v and when its locked it'll just cause the card to throttle due to temps more.

I would just use Kepler bios tweaker to mod the Naennon bios to your liking.

baba that bios is ok for air and ok to use 24/7 it has 2d power states and volt slider does not work BUT its right around the stock voltage of 1.23v yes that right software does not read correctly.

Try this one its the one i use and say nvidia not asus
read into kt just to make sure its right one it must be i named it mmt( massman titan)hwbot may have changed the 1st bios since it was es only
no throttle at all
its for higher pl and throttle issues

I noticed that with the pre release engineering bios whatever you set the power target to is what is used.

Doesn't work like that for me. I've seen up to 133% power but usually it hovers in the 110% range.

I just like to note that even with any issues you are having, your graphics card is still the fastest single GPU on the planet.

Is this one without 2d states and meant for for benching only?
