^THIS. Forgot to mention this. Performance wise, AIOs dont have much of an edge over the better air coolers out there. Custom loops are where watercooling really starts shining.

Swiftech AIOs are among the best built / performing, but I don't know how they'd handle warranty on leak (regarding other components), Corsair has proved their worth there for sure.

If your friend's rig isn't tight for space and he's uncomfortable with that kind of cooling, just let him go air.

This is exactly the thing though. He's building in an FT03.
