It was supposed to be a generalization and not a completely serious opinion. There's a lot of truth to it just like there is to the post I quoted to it but just like the post I quoted it's making the issue out to be something that it isn't.

for now lol

I dont think the masses would stick to nvidias price management because thats for sure im not..

Sure if they give me a card that last me at least 3-4 years at that price point, i would think about it..

Great Nvidia tactic to brain wash the customers. Persuading customers that single cards should cost this price.

I think they really sold a lot of Titans but it would be nice to have some numbers.

From Valley Thread (More than double)

You forgot to mention that the people who want titans are sure not for gaming lol....

I would NOT spend 1k to be stuck @ 1080P @ 40 avg (on new games) sorry lol

I don't see why ppl would buy 1 Titan instead of a 690. Now with 2 Titans it's a different story. But a guy from nVidia did mention in a video that Titans are indeed sold for sli mostly which makes sense.
690 has only 2GB VRAM per GPU, very limited overclocking ability and only 256-bit bus. It's not a surprise that people will get Titan for the same price. Two 670's overclocked is faster than 690 for much cheaper price.

Look for some reviews. 690 beats 1 Titan easily, 2GB is enough for vast majority of games up to 1440p

Yes I know that when both are at stock 690 beats Titan but Titan has almost same performance when overclocked to the max. 690 core overclocking is very limited to my knowledge. 2GB is enough for majority of games but heavily modded Skyrim for example can get over 2GB even at 1080p. Next-gen consoles have massive amount of RAM that will surely affect memory usage on PC also. IMO 1000$ GTX 690 should have 4GB per GPU.

I get higher than 40FPS in Crysis 3 and it's about 4 times as demanding as other new games.

What are you smoking?

How are the Titans not for gaming? They are the best single GPU card on the market by a long shot.. that makes them ideal for gaming.
