I would NOT spend 1k to be stuck @ 1080P @ 40 avg (on new games) sorry lol

So you then linked a bunch of 1600p benchmarks to justify your original statement?

As an owner of both cards, I'm not entirely surprised. The 690 was underwhelming, while the Titan was overpriced. Back to back 690 and 680 SLI, unless I was dying for a single slot card I would just get two 680's. The 690 is hot, overclocks for crap and is loud as hell if you change the fan profile from stock.

I play at 1600p with frame cap, the Titan delivers the same experience at higher AA settings in the games I play than the 690 did. I'm mildly irritated at the 780 if the pricing is below $600, as it really invalidates the Titan. I got mine for right around $550 though because of a gift card so whatever.

How im justifying my statement?

Maxing a game, means all the eye candy my friend aa included.
Not running the game over those 40frames with no aa or tweaking the game settings.

More down to earth.. yeah titan can run crysis 3 sacrificing eye candy @ 1080P above 40.

Go and find me all the Crysis 3 benchmarks you can from around the web on Very High settings and post them back here then, just make sure you do it according to your original statement:

The benchmarks from the Haswell iGPU are very good and AMD's have been good for awhile now. So this means that nVidia is going to have to be seriously price competitive to get people to pry open their wallets and spend TRIPLE the price for a GPU than a full blow CPU with a "fairly good" built in GPU.

You would think but Nvidia did a test and just proved the exact opposite. They now know without a doubt that they can make a monolithic GPU that is atleast 30% ahead of the competition and change 1000 for it. Nviida now knows the following they have and will base their pricing on the 700 series against this. Pricing will be very aggressive since the customers have spoke with their wallets.

So a Titan gets 175% the performance of a 7970GHz and that's a bad thing? headscratch.gif

And that's somehow relevant to a thread titled: Nvidia surprised the Titan outsold the year-old GTX 690 in just 3 months.

Considering Titan is 70% faster than one of your 7970's in that chart, what exactly is your agenda?

Let me guess, Price / Performance? rolleyes.gif
