Yea, I do have other systems in the house I could use. I'll see to it today sometime. It's odd though, the card has no issues playing anything I throw at it. It makes me feel the card is OK and this is some sort of driver issue or something similar.

I had similar issues with my 7950 PCS + from powercolor. I think it had bad vram but idk. I shipped it back cause there was nothing I could do about it. Powercolor's number is 1-626-330-4700 When you think you've heard someone pick up the phone but can't tell just state technical support. The lady that answers is very quiet. Then you'll most likely be talking to Denny. Just tell him that you've gone through the entire troubleshooting process and you need an RMA. Then go to the power color website and fill out an RMA form. Site linked here:

Good luck and if you have any issues with Denny just msg me and I'll see if I can get in touch with the previous rep he may be able to do something for you considering his ties with the company. Either that or just ask for richard and explain to him what's going on.
Thanks, yodazb

Oh and they're open Monday-Friday. somewhere around 10 AM - 6 PM Pacific time I do believe.

I've uninstalled the previous drivers and booted into safemode to use driver sweeper. Oh, I'm using an HDMI to the 1st monitor and using the DVI to 2nd monitor. Flickering happens uniformly across both screens. I haven't had the green stripes / white screen thing happen aain though.

64 idle? if it is that is unusually high. at load, then it is not the issue. i know that when you hookup more than one monitor on a single card that card will not go down to its idle state.

Alright, come Monday, if I can figure anything out, I'll RMA it. No big deal TBH, I put in my case to test for any faults to begin with. This card is for my new build anyways and it seems like it'll be a while before my intel retail edge CPU gets here.

Well if it's a brand new card if you bought it from newegg or something then I'd contact them and get them to replace it. You're likely to get a refurbished card back from powercolor if you ship it to them and you'll have to pay shipping 1 way. Newegg will ship back a new card still in box and pay both way shipping.

i guess your core is at 70+. that is weird. normally the vrms are warmer than the core. especially if the vrms do not have heatsinks.

i must have missed it . . . . does this happen with just the hdmi or just the dvi? or just when both are in use?

it may be too late but this thread might help . . .

i personnaly do not want to use driver sweeper.. never but then again i never had nvidia card.

in any case, i think your case qualifies for an rma. sorry, man.

edit: wait, if this happens only with dota, then it is very well be driver issue. i don't play that game, so can't help you there.

Good point! This somehow escaped me.

Rdr09, these temps are for both monitors being active and in use. I have not used a single monitor long enough to see if the flickering happens on a single monitor.

Side note, the flickering happens once every few hours for a few seconds.

Not sure if its a dota 2 issue, I'm going to boot up metro last light and play that for the entire day and see if this is only isolated to dota 2.

Tried other drivers, same problem persists. I think I'm just going to call it quits and send this sucker back for a replacement from newegg. Thanks for the help guys! thumb.gif
