That still has nothing to do with whether or not a private owner can restrict what happens on his property.

If some one wants to record me walking across the street...go for it. You should not do anything in a public place...or a private building that has public access...that you would not be OK with if it was recorded. How many security cameras does a person walk past a day? How many people with cell phones in their hand? If you saw some one with a camcorder out would you actually go out of your way to avoid being the back ground?

This is just dumb...but then again there are people out there that are so privacy minded that they throw a fit that the mailman knows their address. If I am in my house...my privacy is important, but the second I leave it or even just open the curtains...privacy is that the last thing I even think about. Because I am in PUBLIC.

Though I do understand and agree with businesses banning Goggle Glass that are displaying something that people pay to see...but then these kinds of places also ban all the other forms of recording as well.

Considering my half sister and her father died from brain cancer from microwave radiation (mostly done in the 2GHz band, which is very similar to WiFi and many Cell phones) and the I've been working in the Electronic News Gathering industry for 22 years now (which does a ton of work in the 2Ghz band), I dare say I know a bit more about the medical aspect of what happens in my industry. Both from a professional point of view as well as a personal point of view.

It is partly why I got into the whole Folding @ Home project, because (in addition to my father dying of lung cancer) I have lost many people to radiator induced cancers and I work in the industry and I'm around the these radiations all the time.

Further, using a cell phone for 5 minutes at a time on the OUTSIDE of your skull is one thing, having a radiation source on the INSIDE of your skull 24/7/365 is a TOTALLY different thing.

This right here. If you disagree, you are wrong.

No they didn't. EM radiation weaker than UV does not have the energy capacity to cleave bonds in DNA. Your anecdote means absolutely nothing.

My biology degree says otherwise. Scientific literature trumps your personal stories.

Yes but the public reside in these areas. So they are public areas.

Privately owned public areas, yes. But then again so are parks, etc. City Councils are in charge of those.

But again... ridiculous semantics to the max.

Doesn't damage DNA directly, but it does effect cells in other ways.

I am the owner of a bar, and I run 2 night clubs and a sports pub. My guess is I know the laws on these type of things better then anyone else on this forum. While I didn't read the last 17 pages on this topic in detail it seems people are confused on what is a public place, and what is private. Anything inside the doors of a McDonalds is private, no if's, and's or but's. They can regulate to anyone they want to serve to for any reason with the exception to race, and religion. If one day McDonalds decides they will no longer serve people wearing blue pants, they are more then welcome to do that.

On a side note, 2 weeks ago I went to court as a witness because I asked the police to remove someone who was loitering out from of one of our establishments. The person arrested argued since he was on a public sidewalk he couldn't be arrested because he was where the public was allowed to be. He was found guilty. Funny thing is he video taped the entire thing, put it on youtube thinking that would get him off, but it only sealed his fate.
