Wow, I never realized how easy it was to remove that kind of insulation. I always assumed the board was a dedicated LN2 board afterward.

I wish I would have just spent the extra money and bought eraser to begin with. I used LET and god is this stuff a pain in the ass to remove from between components. I put a good 6 hours into trying to get it off and gave up. Just going to sell the mobo cheap and get eraser. Well actually I ordered 16 blocks of generals jumbo kneaded eraser today.

I love LET for graphics cards but it can definitely be a pain on motherboards.

I could definitely see using it on GPU and if I didn't care about RMA I would probably actually use a clear acrylic spray or laquer. I just can't get the LET out from between the inductors. I was looking to see if I could buy replacements and just replace them but it would cost more than it is worth.

Both mobo and CPU survived DICE session and 4.99 GHz quite well thumb.gif
