The entire "OEM HD 8xxx" line is just an OEM rebrand of the 7xxx desktop cards. It is not a new series in the least, just merely rebranded and increased in number to make oems happy.

I actually posted the thread on here back in January and quickly realized it is what I just said above.

Now you are saying 8000 are not a new series and are OEMs. 7000-one series; 8000- another series of cards. You have just changed the topic of a conversation.

What are you even talking about? This all started because you said you could predict the 7xx series coming out because of the "710m" being put in a laptop back whenever. I said you can't take a rebranded mobile card as an indication for future desktop releases based on...wait for it..the cancellation of HD 8xxx desktop graphics AFTER the released rebranded 7xxxm parts as 8xxxm. You then proceeded to show me a video of this upcoming "hd 8950" that only went to prove my point entirely about not believing rebranded mobile chips as an indication of future releases on desktop.

So, one last time: OEM cards are not for sale anywhere but eBay for a reason. They are a rebranded 7xxx series for no reason other than to look newer than last year to those buying dell and HP computers.

Seeing this makes my dream of the GTX780 being a €500 card drown in the sea...

ok, fine. I except there will be 8970 non OEM, it is unusual to have 1 OEM and 1 non though.
