[VC] NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Pictured Up Close (Gallery) - Page 105

I am truly disappointed to see so many people excited about promoting over priced cards due to the "brand being held in high regards" .
Not for long, with this pricing trend, as those who hold it in high regards are trading against themselves.

There is so many reason as why GTX 780 should cost 599$ as there as many reason why it should cost 700$.

All of these were posted on this thread countless times (that's why it has over 100 sides), so I don't want necessary waste my time and repeat them. Just read the reviews yourself.

But 1 of these was that every x80 was around 15%-30% increase from last x80, and the price was always the same, and this time it's the same.
The GTX 780 gives around 20%-30% increase over the GTX 680, so I don't see a reason why it should cost more than any other version of the x80.

"But then again, the N_V doesn't have a competition for it's GTX 7xx series."
"But yet again, the GTX 7xx series is just rebrand of 6xx seires, except the 780."
"It would cost 700$, because it has only around 5% difference from Titan."
"But when it would cost only 500$-600$, it would sell like crazy..."
and so on and on and on....
I heard many strong arguments from both sides (even when I was on the 700$ side, after I heard some arguments, I wesn't so sure myself).

We will see the pricing in less than 24h from now on.
Cheers

I'm also disappointed to see that the ONLY THING you have done in this thread is... well... this. Yes, you have only written meaningless posts, accusing people of being reps or being Titan owners.

I wonder why you are in this topic in the first place if you have nothing interesting to add to the discussion.

And it's a lot more interesting to do Nvidia's bidding for them. Gotcha. wink.gif

For 700 it does not but amd is very competitive with their 7970 and free games. Stop saying AMD has nothing to counter Nvidia. It is totally untrue.

There is no logic for 780 selling at $500. None. You can't back up that claim because it has no arguments behind it. The 7970GHZ is $450, do you really think NVIDIA, a brand that is kept in higher regards than AMD, will release a product with 20% extra performance for 10% extra price? You talking about logical explanations?

Good job, comparing the price of different products based on different shops. At least use a single one because, you know, you are cherry picking there rolleyes.gif Or manipulating the data to your own benefit.

Do you have anything to address with what I've said, other than trying to claim hunting for the best price (like any normal buyer does) is somehow "cherry picking", then doing so yourself? I think people have said anything that could possibly be said by now, and we're 22 hours from launch so... yeah, I don't see the point.

One thing people need to understand is:

speculating about a price =/= wanting that price.

Just because I make a guess on a price of the card doesn't mean I don't want it to be cheap. We aren't here to only post our hopes, we're here to discuss hardware and I see no reason to start continually posting that IB-E / 780 / etc. is only going to cost $250 max.

Definitely... personally I'd *LIKE* the 780 to be $500 or less, but I don't see that one happening.
