Yes! I was scared it would be plastic. Last time I dreamt about a card, the price was set to be between 550-600(exclude 600).

So which is it? You keep claiming GTX 680 and below have issues with AA (when there are no issues) due to the limited memory bandwidth. So when the GTX 770 gets a 7GHz GDDR5 memory, it shouldn't have any issues correct? Or will you claim it still fails at AA?.

Bus width is not the only way to increase memory performance but you wouldn't know that. rolleyes.gif

here in Oz, if they are, as i believe they will, be 800, i will wait, as I probably won't be able to get from Amazon, Newegg etc. If they come in at 700, i will think hard about it. If they come in at 600(no way) i will jump in. I am in no rush, but I refuse to be gouged b y our inflated prices. I have a good rig that will do me just fine until prices come down here, or I can get the from ebay or something at the US$ price. It's complete BS that our prices are so much higher here.

not bad, taking away 21% tax I guess it might have and then converting it to GBP and adding 20% VAT and that gives you about £500 redface.gif

I sure as hell hope that is the case but I am guessing it is going to be a tad bit more

Deep down in their hearts everybody knows 499$ is a wishful thinking. Everbody and their mother would buy a 780. Even I could see myself considering a 780 then, although I have a 680 and that extra 20-30% performance is not going to make it or break it in a game.

I think that I have a Dream picture of 500$ for the 780 is very fitting. I could see many people with a 7970/7950, 680/670 upgrading to a 780 then. If you remember the release of 680 it was out of stock everywhere for 500$ and the 780 seems to be a much better card considering the other options on the market right now.

599$ seems to be much more appropriate, especially if the 770 is 399$ and for an extra 100$ you would get a 780, which has more VRAM, a better cooler, and a lot more performance.
