It's going to be the same depending on who's reacting... same as every video card launch:

Titan owner: either "It's too little, LOL my titan's worthless" or "LOL, I knew my titan was a good buy". (which unless they're using that DP computational power, it really was just to get it a few weeks early at a much higher price other than a handful (literally) of extreme edge cases)
Radeon owner: "It's too high, LOL amd's going to destroy them. $XX is an outrage, talk about price gouging!" (as though a top-end card is an essential to life)
Anyone who just bought a high-end card recently: "Darnit, I should have waited..."
Anyone who was expecting super-high stratospheric near-Titan-remotely price ranges: "Wow, I knew it was going to be low! Just ordered two!" (even though they were saying the contrary a day before)
Anyone who was expecting normal-ish pricing: "Just clicked buy, mine's due in tomorrow!" (most people including the general gaming market that just knows a new card is coming soon and is oblivious to all of this rampant speculation)

That is, of course, barring it coming out at $979 biggrin.gif.

People here seem to forget about amd... 7970 with 4 free games will undoubtly put some pressure on gpu market. Keep this in mind, AMD is not as defenseless as many think.

All I can say is, if this is the frenzy we get with a re-hashed psuedo-new generation release with chips we already have, I can't wait to see how many threads are spawned when VI and Maxwell draw near.

that only competes with the GTX690

Titan also competes with $4000 Quadro cards.

Based of a chip that is 1,5 years old it actually holds that chip with a few sectors laserd shut.

There is competition. STIFF COMPETITION Perhaps more than you think. Look at the benchmarks. Why do you think n_v created titan? Lastly there is no such thing as a GTX 320. A Geforce GT 320 OEM

Well, I do think that the prices are rising, because people are willing to pay.
But I think it won't go over the top, people (gamers) won't pay more $ than for Titan, for a GPU.
If they would price any card like that, I think no one would bought it....and like someone mentioned the card is made especially for the Dev's, and etc... after all it's supposed to be supercomputer.

I did think about the competition argument that I made, and I think your right, so I made a fail argument in that last post.

and I actually have GTX 275, my mistake weren't sure of it.....that's kind of old....

What market? We are it, and their research starts and ends here when it comes to consumer GPUs.

I give myself plenty of credit. T.Y for thinking of me. thumb.gif I was one of the driving forces that got the launch price of the gtx480@ $499USD. I bought into the gtx280 at launch @ $599.
Myself and many others (including n_v marketing) felt n_v burned us for $100. !!!They did.!!! I feel they were greedy with titan.

If n_v is guilty of over pricing they'll historically give it back to us. I'm guessing GTX780@$499 to $550. Your 100% correct and I agree. They nvidia and amd do listen loud and clear. I'm buying into it.

I still have my 480's I bought at launch LOL.
