just stop it alatar, i was being nice and not running it over like I could, but you cant be wrong can you? lol. Its a 29.99% increase first off, 1137-875 = 262. 262/875 = 29.94%. So its a 30% overclock for a 19% increase on crysis 3.

Second, i could take any of the other lower performance for the same overclock....

a 16% increase from a 29.94% overclock, hell that's close to 1.5/3.

I was being nice saying 2/3 as the ratio when its clearly an above average ratio. And you know just as well as I do that clocking the memory higher will not net you nearly what you say.

No, you were being accurate wink.gif

Graphs are in my photo albums, I can post them if you want. Did a comparison between my Titan and my 680 Lightning when I got it. It shows the Titan at stock speed of 1058mhz, and then my overclock of 1150-1163mhz (same memory speed of 6Ghz for both). So that's a overclock of roughly 10% (1163mhz-1058mhz = 105 / 1058 = 9.9%). Not all were as close to 10% as these, but half were, so, yes Titan can/does scale very well, much better than 1:2. Some of the better increases with 10% overclock and not touching the memory were as follows:

3dMark11 GPU Score: +8.8%
Metro: +9.6%
Sleeping Dogs: +7%

I'll look at what the 680 did.

No I can't tongue.gif

And no it wasn't a 29% OC, it's 27% since they say their crysis 3 clocks leveled at 1110MHz, not 1137MHz.

And far cry 3 is the lowest of the bunch when it comes to increases. The others are 20%, 19% and 18%.

And you don't seem to kno wthat much about OCing the memory on Titans...

This is how it looks like:

That's a 5.7% increase from OCing the memory and that's with a card that had +0 core speed. The need for bandwidth is bigger at higher frequencies....

Minimum frame rate increased by 26%....

So basically what the 780 means is Titan buyers got boned and the Titan isn't going to be worth much of anything either, because nobody will want to pay the extra $350-$400 for the small increase in performance over the 780, got it.

Do you think this will be locked volts like the titan?

Everything coming out of Nvidia from now on is going to be voltage locked, might as well get used to it.

Most likely some voltage control but not much. Just like the Titan.

To be fair there aren't ref cards that have unlimited voltage control. Not without hard mods anyways...

I'm in dubio right now I have a 4K TV coming in somewhere next month but I'm really thinking about just sticking with my GTX570 till Q4 so I can get all my parts new top of the line just released goodness.
I know the gtx570 will not drive 4K over HDMI but I also have my mini rig completing next month which will have a newer gen hd7850 which can drive 4K.
Should I get the GTX780 and SLI it later on or should I wait till Q4 as the rest of my rig stinks in single threaded performance.
Ivy-EX should give me a good 4x the single core performance over what I currently have so waiting seems the only right choice...

Just keep sweeping it under the rug lol. Here's a consensus, it overclocks and thus adds performance of some sort.
