This. I'm not saying it'll definitely be 599 euro/usd, but I think there's a LOT more evidence and precedent towards it being 599/below than 650+ which some people seem to think is set in stone already.

See, I never bought into the whole 6XXseries mess because those cards just seemed like a slap in the face from Nvidia when I looked over at my GTX580. The people that bought Titan knew what they were getting, but sadly had to pay more because so many others gobbled up the also overpriced GTX670/GTX680 for over a year!

Anyway, we all have opinions and my opinion is that the GTX670's/GTX680's with their castrated 256-bit memory bus and 2GB of ram will hit the bargain bin long before the Titan will. thumb.gif
Yeah, I think staying away from OCN for a few days and threads like these will help greatly!

Your point is that nVidia ****** us at every chance they get. I agree thumb.gif

Why didn't you buy 7970 then?

Titan will be 10% - 20% faster, also still I will have that 600$ in my pocket if I would go 2x 780 instead of 2x Titans.
So for that 600% I could buy a 3rd 780 and that would be around 40% - 60% better than 2x Titans.
But of course, that would mean more heat, so I think it is more matter of tastes, since some people don't want to bother with more than 2x setup.
Even if it would mean better performance/price ratio.

Since for like 1800$ - 2300$ (depending of the price of 780) you would be able to get 3x 780, while for 2x Titan you need to pay at least 2050$.
So 3x 780 would have 40%-60% more power than 2x Titan, for almost/less/little more the same price (depending of the pricing of GTX 780 when it releases).

I personally, only play at the moment on 1x 24'inch screen, (normal does on 2x 24' inch, just old GPU atm), so I will need 1x GTX 780, and then little later on buy the 2nd one for SLI setup.
I rather pay 1500$ for SLI that will max out probably everything for me, and just wait for 9xx series.
But like I mentioned before, it is matter of Tastes, and what you exactly need.

Why didn't you buy 7970 then?

Because I was waiting on the true successor to the GTX580. And I do enjoy being able to use physx whenever a game supports it.

The Titan is overpriced, but it is a beast. It should hold me over a year and a half just like my GTX580 did. thumb.gif

PhysX is another thing nVidia screwed 40% of the consumers with. Luckily only 1 game I played had it really implemented, BL2 (boring game for me tho, tones of mindless NPCs running at you, so I didn't finish even half of it). In Batman AC it was far less noticeable.

in my opinion, not even the 10% difference

I am willing to bet that GTX 780 overclock will hit 1250MHz on average, compared to the 1150MHz GTX Titan

I actually love Borderlands 2. 350+ hours in the game. I have heard Metro LL has some good stuff in it and the Batman games usually have some noticeable things throughout.

Well, that's a matter of taste I guess. I dun like like pure action games, overgrew it long time ago. In Batman I think only carpets and papers when you run over them, at least that is what I noticed. In Metro LL I am not sure what is PhysX and what not. Will try it with PhysX off just to see if there is a difference.
