Jeeze, each generation nets about 25% higher than the last generation. So whatever makes this generation's net gain so special over the last....

They're really not for the average OCN member who knows that a 3930K is the same performance for half the cost. They are more catered to the rich playboy who is assembling his rig online by choosing the most expensive parts and then having it drop-shipped to a guy like Daniel at Singularity Computers to do a one-off modded STH10 or some crap...

PS - I have a 3960X because I'm just a boss like that! wink.gif

My 480s are still going strong from 2010, haven't seen a need to upgrade and probably won't for a long time since consoles run things nowadays.
Yes I can game if I would want to but then again I only play games I pick after playing a amount of time.
I also enjoy RTS a lot and verious old games.
Horror games with psychological horror are something that I enjoy also fast paced shooters like Bioshock are very fun.

The fact that RA2 and Yuri's revenge is still my most favorite game says a lot about who I am I guess.

Titan 6GB - 1000$

Why would they do a GTX 780 6GB with the same specs as a Titan but for 300$ less.

Well, they have different specs besides the ram. Those numbers are just my gut feelings and exactly the pricing structure for the cards to fly off the shelves. smile.gif

A 4GB GTX770 for $449 that is 10% faster than the GTX680 4GB card that cost $549? Yeah, I think that will sell fairly well.

I paid $559 AUD for my GTX 580 3GB

GTX 680 had more VRAM than the GTX 580, but was the same price (and about the same likely performance delta as 680-780).  I agree with the $100 diff from the 770 though, which is why $450 and $550 makes sense.

Who's going to pay $200-300 (50-70%) more for less VRAM and 20% more performance?
