What card is better?

Thread Starter
I prefer ATI cards over NVidea. I asked a question about getting a better heatsink and posted a link to my rig so people could see what I have. Someone suggested the 7770. I started browsing Newegg, and found the sapphire HD 7770: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102993 . For $5 more I can get the HD 7790: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202029 . Which is better?

I know both are defiantly an improvement because currently, I have an hd 6670.

It doesn't give much info on the 7790 but obviously it's the next one up in the line showing that it should game better. What's your price range?
Bottom line the 7790 will be faster, by how much, not really sure. Probably not huge, I tried to check Anandtech's bench feature for you, but it doesn't list the 7790. Give us a budget, might be able to get you more card buying a used one.

I took a look at a couple of benchmark videos, and it seems you can't go wrong spending and extra $5. The only issue I've seen with the 7790 vs 7770 is that the 7790 gets hotter, but driver updates are helping to bring the temp down

Might consider this instead : http://www.overclock.net/t/1391570/newegg-msi-7770-ghz-with-farcry-3-farcry-3-blood-dragon-and-3dmark-for-usd-85-amir
Or, if DX11 isnt that important to you , this is a great deal on a card that will come close to the 7770 when overclocked. :http://www.overclock.net/t/1383875/compuvest-evga-9800gt-512mb-24-36-after-promo-code-fs-updated
