I dont bitcoin mine, but I do have chrome. Also, if the program is not something that takes a while to load should I still put it on the ssd? Does it matter?

And to initiate my windows reinstall do i just use the disk again or do I use some program within windows?

I never said you did?

It's essentially malware that somehow gets installed on your pc and people use your GPU to mine bitcoins.

It wont show in virus scanners, Open your task manager and click the processes and screenshot it so we can see whats running.

Also Chrome is also causing people to have nVidia driver crashes lately.

Like I said, google some fixes, It's definately not your card playing up, Either it's chrome, Or a bitcoin miner on your computer.

Oh, I misunderstood you gumbie. Now that I think about it more ram seemed to be getting used than usual. This is not the pc in question but I am doing a clean install on that pc right now. I am surprised someone can take control of my pc and not have it show up on my anti virus at this point in technology. I am also surprised google would release such unstable versions of chrome if that was why, even though the crashes were happening with other browsers too.

You would also notice the load on your GPU go to 100% and the fan and heat ramp up accordingly if you had a malicious miner, I don't think that's super likely.

You could try unplugging them and plugging them back in again, if they are wireless try and use wired, if it's wired usb try and use PS/2.
