Haha, i dont know who plays Prime 95 on the daily.... but im sure 85C in prime 95 doesnt sound right either... on an H100i. I think on Prime 95 i hit 57-60C. But thats about it. Hitting 85C means the seat wasnt good or its loose.

OP needs to fix this so he can match my temps thumb.gif

I realize OP has Intel but I'm running an FX-8350 @ 4.6GHz and these chips are little hotboxes. My Prime temp is 55C.

Loose mount is not good. Shim that baby as said with some washers and get it good and tight. The H100i really is a nice cooler for an AIO.

When I mounted mine, I went in a pattern with all the screws, tightening them in steps. I tried to hold the screwdriver the same way every time, and get a feel for the force it took to tighten each screw. I just kept moving back and forth until I felt like all screws were of same and sufficient tightness.

I'm gonna reseat it tomorrow and plus I also have placed the backplate in the wrong position, the little spaces for screws behind the mobo doesn't match with them here, I'm sure tomorrow (with the day light is better to work) I will fix that, thanks guys for the help´thumb.gif

Hi guys, I did solve my problem! biggrin.gif:D

Had to put 2 washers in each pin of the backplate before the plastic washers and then installed the block again, before I was hitting 85º 4.2Ghz 1.34v in 30 minutes of Prime 95 and now it reachs only 64ºC in quiet mode stock fans from H100i. Thanks for the help, pretty satisfied with the results now thumb.gif
