I was replacingy heatsink on my 1 gig 6870 and bumped the cap by. The vrm choke on my 6870. It doesn't feel loose but its artifacting at bios now. I also have a resistor that I had to solder back on on the back of the pcb. But that worked fine for a bit. Which one would be causong my problem. If its the cap what can I replace it with. I can provide pics if need be.

if you broke parts off the PCB.. solder them back on. As for the cap... if there is any residue or moisture around the base of the cap its likely gone bad, if you bent the leg out too far, it could be damaged..

*I would generally start by soldering back the missing items.

the missing part is already soldered back on.. i might have cracked the solder on it from putting the card back in. IT worked for a bit but i pulled it out and put my air cooler back on it. It looks like its on there. Where can i get caps from. Im just gonna go head and solder a new cap on it and make sure that part is on. That way ill know it will work
