Portable Desktop (Help Needed)

Thread Starter
Recently my laptop died (probably the gpu is screwed) and I had to get a really old computer from a friend to use for now (Pentium 4, slow as crap).

I have been scouting around the forums and have found out that a desktop outperforms a laptop by miles, both power and cost effectiveness, but I still need a portable computer for school work.(I am defiantly not going to be lugging a full ATX case to school.)

so, after more scouting I found out about the many briefcase desktop mods and would like to attempt to build one.

Here are the specs I will be getting for my new computer (mainly for gaming, word processing, powerpoint, video rendering(vegas), photoshop and Hackintosh tongue.gif)

Processor+MotherBoard: ASUS M5A97 PRO + AMD FX-8320 - $376

Graphics Card: xfx hd 7770 black edition super overclock- $100 (from a friend)

PSU: Seasonic S12II 520 80+ bronze - $89

Ram: Corsair Vengeance 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz lowprofile (2x4gb) - $86

DVD Drive: Random one from asus - $30

HDD: Seagate 1TB 7200RPM - $83

Total:S$764 (prices in Singapore dollars)

-Is there anything that can be cut down on cost? (15 year old dude with not much monies here)
here's a link to the pricelist from the local shop I'm getting my supplies from LINK

-will the mobo be able to fit into a suitcase (can anyone recommend me a nice suitcase to mod with? aluminium preferred) (gonna spray paint it black tongue.gif)

-a walkthrough on what to do will be nice biggrin.gif

-tools needed?

-lastly, how do you power the screen like they do on some briefcase mods?

Thank you biggrin.gif

From Asus http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/F1A75I_DELUXE/
Though it supports FM1 CPUs

And from MSI http://eu.msi.com/product/mb/FM2-A75IA-E53.html#/?div=Overview

I'm wondering, will there be any heat issues with the setup that I am getting? Which after market heatsink should I get, I don't want to end up carrying an oven around when I overclock that fx 8320 (extremely low profile heatsink please biggrin.gif)
