Can we talk about Emulators?

Sorry if there's a rule about this, but one of the big reasons my next laptop is so powerful is because I wanted to have an emulation deck for old PS2/N64/whateveremulatorhere games. And I was wondering if emulator stuff can be discussed, not directly about like where to get roms and ideas like that...you know "piracy" but rather talk about like games played and how to do things on an emulator.

I personally have a PS2 one installed and I've got Xenosaga Ep1, 2, 3, Final Fantasy XII, and Soul Calibur 2, all on my current laptop. and it runs smooth.

I got the Razer Sabertooth for my games, which is a beautiful and awesome game pad, and works great with the emulators. its a sensitive as hell controller though.

I think we can talk about them but not about how/where to get the roms/bios etc.

I have quite a few emulators on my gaming rig and laptop.

Mainly for the Zelda series but I have a few other games like Gran Turismo , Final Fantasy and Mario Series.

Wow, I just installed a ps2 one yesterday. The first and probably only game I'll install is tourist trophy. It's the only motorcycle game I've played that felt kinda close to the real thing. I just wish I knew where my physical copy was seeing that I still have my working ps2. :-(

You can make the games look so much better on a Pc because the Emotion Engine emulation works with Anti Aliasiing and stuff like that.

Xenosaga Ep2 on PC looks AMAZING compared to Xenosaga on the PS2.

I mean granted... my laptop is 12x the cost... but still at least I can use whatever controller I want, right?

I personally was wondering if there was anyone who knew much about getting a gamecube emu working because I wanted to collect all the pokemon stadium style games and stuff. I've always wondered if there was a way to get like a copy of red or blue emulated to work with Pokémon stadium so I could build my own team and stuff...

I was never a big Zelda or Mario or any Nintendo exclusives fan except for the pokemon franchise. Was wondering if there was anyone around OCN who dabbles in emulators.

Correct, emulators are legal to download and use but ROMs and BIOSes are not.
