The 650 ti boost i'm planning to get (http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1442&products_id=22997)
and don't worry about power and temp I'm getting 4 fans (attaching one to the cpu heatsink the hyper 212 evo) and a 750w modular corsair psu and was wondering can I save $30 dollars on a card and still get the same performance.

4 fans because the case i'm getting the coolermaster scout 2 only has one when you buy it. will put a fan on the side panel to pull that heat out. and get cold lots of the time and want some heat lol with it being by my side.

The PSU is overkill even for 2 GTX 660 cards. A 550 would be fine. A brand other than Corsair, such as Rosewill, NZXT or someone else like that would be a better buy. Corsair's warranty support has been on the wrong side of awful lately.

To your question, a GTX 650ti BOOST could be overclocked to reach the level of a stock GTX 660. But then the 660 can be overclocked as well....

The 650ti BOOST is a great card, but the 660 is a better card in every way except for price/performance ratio. You pay a little for a LOT of performance in the 650ti BOOST.

For $30, yeah it's worth it to go 660.

Yeah I was reading the page saw a huge difference in cuda core amount and I wan confused with the fact the 650ti two cable connections while the 660 had one and thought the 650ti more over-clock able and could be on an even playing field thx for the advice.

I now that i'm fine with skimping myself there when i'm going to overclock my cpu and the gpu and I am just glad to be able to get a decent card I know the 7850 and 7870 are better in price to performance ratio but really I don't care.

A CX430 could easily handle a 650ti and could probably hand a 660 as well. A750 watt is probably enough to handle 3 650s lol.

And the side fan is better to pull cold air in not air out... A good 550w PSU is more then enough for 2x 650 ti's so no need for 750w with the money you spare on the PSU buy a better card

No one needs a 3GB 660. Get the 2GB version.

Alternatively, get a 7870.
