I just don't want AMD plain and simple I will go the 660ti Evga's 2gb superoverclocked I know AMD beats NVidia the special effects NVidia offers have made me lean to them. The games I will be playing lean toward NVidia anyway. the 660ti I will overclock with a decent psu 600w. my processor absolutely fine so I have made my decision.

I haven't noticed anything special about Nvidia's drivers, unless you're running a 120Hz+ monitor. If the games lean towards Nvidia, and you're not running a high resolution monitor (2560x1440 or higher), or multiple monitors then Nvidia will probably be best for you.

Also, 600 watts is overkill for a 660ti; you need probably 500 watts at most.

just means I can upgrade to a better graphics card. oh and for some confirmation i'm going to just be using a 1920 x 1080 monitor.

Then 660 2Gb at minimum...1 of the 3 I had mentioned in post #25 OR save a little more & buy a 660ti 2Gb. I will not recommend AMD 7870 GHz since your flavor is green biggrin.gif
To be quite honest, if I was in your shoes, I would save a bit more & buy the 660Ti.

Now AMD are cheaper than the nvidia, but you probably already know that & dont really mind spending a premium since it looks like your settled with the 660 ti.
Yes but when OC vs OC 7950 wins MOSTLY even over the 670. 660 ti is up against 7870 tahiti le or the "7930"

They really should have named it the 7930. Calling it a 7870 is so confusing.

Two things for everyone posting in this thread.

First let's respect the OP and keep to Nvidia cards as he's now come out and said it plainly. It's not serving any help if the OP doesn't want AMD and we debate that opinion. OP posted in the Nvidia section might say something to boot.

Secondly, no fan boy calling and no using asterisk to bypass the 'no swearing rule' on OCN.
