Probably should keep the card until the last day you can take it back and see how the new cards pan out. Leave it sealed though. Knowing me, I'd have to open it and see how it overclocks!tongue.gif

It seems to me like you really like that card and you want to keep it, but you feel guilty if you keep it because you won't have the latest series of cards.

Make your own decisions and don't let others sway them. Choose something that will make you happy and one that you'll never regret.

Because regrets are for losers!

since only a single card and not already in SLi I'd send it back or sell it and grab a GTX 7 series.
but if you had one already and this was the second for SLi then I'd stay with that.
but initial release is usually reference models so unless you want one of those then get ready for purchase.

not wanting reference models here...

In my experience the 670 FTW cards are pretty good overclockers, so (complete speculation here) my estimate is that your overclocked FTW Sig2 will be maybe 5% to 10% slower than a 770. It's your call, but personally I'd either get a 780 (for GK110) or just sit this generation out and be happy with your purchase, as the 760 and 770 are just a kepler refresh with better clocks.

From what I understand, good clocking 670s (like the FTW, who almost always clock 1250+) will still be much faster than average clocking 770s. Just look at the top valley scores; there are a lot of 670s that are taking a dump on 680s.

IMO it's not worth it to  «upgrade» to the 700 series since the 770 is nothing new and the 780 will be overpriced.

starting to agree with this....
I have been researching all day long about my 660 Ti specifically and in doing so I came across several 670 comparisons.
and since I have 670's I read those too.

I'm sort of in the same dilemma right now. Just sold my 670 PE to get a 670 FTW+ (wasn't liking the non-reference PCB and the 2GB ram) since at first I thought the 770's were going to be priced a lot higher. Right now, I'm really itching on pulling the trigger on the FTW+ because I will be without a GPU for a few weeks if I wait on the 770. Not sure if I can wait that long without a GPU to be completely honest with you... I definitely know I'd have a better peace of mind with the 770 since it's basically a higher clocked 680 for the same price of a 670... Then there's the issue if I even get one on launch... and the obvious wait. Decisions, decisions...

OP the GTX 770 is going to have 7 Ghz memory stock speeds. so its guaranteed to have 224 GB/s bandwidth. thats a significant improvement and GK104 benefits from higher memory speeds and improved bandwidth. also the chip is a newer spin and will mostly support GPU Boost 2.0. so wait and see the benchmarks , reviews and then decide.
