My experience on "Crossover 2720MDP & Mac Mini late 2012"

Hey,
before I bought my monitor, I made a lot of research on this forum, to make sure that everything goes alright, and so I feel that I have to share with you my results.

I bought CROSSOVER NEW 2720MDP GOLD LED 2560x1440 27" QHD S-IPS, from eBay seller accessorieswhole.
[*] The experience was great.
[*] The item arrived in a record time (3 days from Korea to Bahrain!)
[*] The seller was very helpful through out the whole process.

As for the monitor:
[*] The screen is almost identical to the iMac's.
[*] I have only 1 dead pixel, which is almost invisible. "You can only notice it if you know where it is, and concentrate on it.
[*] The colour calibration and viewing angle is one of the best I've seen.

As for the connection to the Mac Mini:
[*] I used (Kanex C30 Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter, White #MDPC30) to connect it to my Mac Mini, and it ran at Full resolution 2560x1440! "Awesome thumb.gif".
[*] While waiting for the Kanex C30 adapter, I connected it to my Mac Mini using most other ports (tried on at a time). All worked directly without the need of any adapters, but at a resolution of 1080p (that I was sure of before the purchase). I didn't try the display port, because I don't have the DP to MDP adapter, however I think it would run at 1080p, not because the Mac can't handle it, but because the only port on the monitor that gives a full 2560x1440 is the Dual DVI-D port.
[*] Everything runs fast and smooth as the iMac.

Some notes I may like to point:
[*] If you want to go for a 27", don't buy a 1080p, it's no where near the 1440p, for it has a very low PPI.
[*] The only difference between this monitor and the Thunderbolt display (or Cinema Display), are the 1-Awesome design of TB display. 2-The additional ports (USB...etc) on TB D. 3-The speakers are better and clearer. 4-The webcam. If you compare the screens, they are dead on identical. I have the two next to each other, exactly the same.
[*] I was going to pay the double price for the TB D, but I though that Apple will release a new one within half a year, that is thin and similar to the late 2012 iMacs. So, it would be not the smartest decision to pay that much for a nearly replaced product. I needed a monitor really fast, so I got this one. I do not regret my decision!

I would be glad to answer any of your questions, even if this post is really old by the time you ask.

Which version of OSX are you running?

A lot of us couldn't get dual link dvi adaptors to work with OSX 10.7.5 and 10.8.1-10.8.2. I haven't tested 10.8.3, since I don't have a adaptor anymore.
