Appraisal: My Awesome Rig that I Don't Really Want to Sell, but I'm Unemployed. - Page 2

Keep your computer! Claim unemployment money, and keep looking for a job. It's what I had to do during a bad point in life. People say claiming unemployment money is "low standards blah blah" but then they still complain about how the government takes advantage of us. Get that money JMCB! thumb.gif Just use it responsibly.

+1, that beast will take ages to remake.

If you sell it all together, you might fob it off for 3000 to account for the extra time you spent making it and configuring it.

Dude, it is going to be hard to get this out on craigslist or anything as a whole. Part it out.
380 each video card
850 for cpu
350 mobo
200 ram (ram is inflated nowadays)
70 ssd
60 hdd
40 for block
try to sell rs360 kit for 140 if you can.
monitor for 260
keyboard for 60
case will be hard to move no matter what.... Price at 200 but stick to here and other techie places.
40 for mouse
10 for mousepad?

2500-2600 total. Will be much easier to move like this.

I'd say more like $340 for each GPU

The monitor's worth at least $300, since you don't have to deal with shady Korean sellers and Fed Ex throwing your monitor out of the plane mid flight.

You're probably not going to sell the case.

the CPU water block could probably fetch $50 shipped.

You should start off by using the pc to apply for unemployment, after that, sell the parts as needed the Radeon cards are still worth a nice amount. they perform wonderfully so sell them off when you need the boost in funds, just remember paypal has a 21 day holing policy or until they receive feedback from the buyer saying the transaction went well. always insure your products for what they are worth, 1k is usually what i insure them for. unless they are worth more.. you can get your money out of it but youll have to look to other routes, as well. OCN market place, CL, Eblah and word of mouth.. dont sell your whole pc =/ its a masterpiece of premium performance on an ever changing scale. trust me.. ive been where you are.. so much so that my profile even says im unemployed. but i stll have the bits i was born with. and my computer :-)

you could easily get 2.8k IMHO

If I ever heard anyone say that claiming unemployment was "low standards", I'd probably slap them. When you're working, the government takes it out of your paycheck so if you're out of work, use it. You've already paid into it. That's what it's there for.

There are plenty other ways that I see people taking advantage the system of that are "low standards", unemployment isn't one of them.

I vote keep your rig as long as you can.

Cant you just sell some parts like second gpu to get true the night thinking.gif . Letting that rig go would be a personal loss to you and a loss to the community
