Are you using some kind of a jack cable extension ? If yes, then it can just be a slight manufacturing error...
If not, then I don't know...

Maybe it's not the headphones or the mobo. Maybe it's your brain. Have you had brain surgery recently? I believe that your right and left can get mixed up afterwards for a while(saw it on an episode of House).

Sounds to me like it's a manufacturer thing. Did it from day one?

Couldn't Really tell you I only noticed when I did that 3d sound test for fun where the object rotates around the head and you should hear sound from where the object is.

I've found the problem though. In my Acrylic Case there is a Sound Out and Mic jack in the front. Then the wires are run through the case and into the connectors in back of mobo.

If I plug headphones into the jack on the motherboard no problem or if I plug monitor into mobo and then headphones into mobo. So thats the bug, so new case soon will fix that problem =D.

Thanks guys

well the thing is, its not mixed wires, its bugged chip. Its just a wire that goes from the Green output on front of case, through case and out an expansion slot into back of mobo. So the chip controlling it or something is messed. Buddy has same case and his is fine.

Funky stuff

i had the same problem with my gigabyte board, but instead of redoing the fpannel wiring, there was an option (if i remember correctly) in the jack sensing/testing program to switch this.
