Graphics card at 100% fan speed and reading no temperature

Thread Starter
Had this problem awhile where as soon as it started booting into windows my graphics card (gtx470) would have 100% fan speed. Once in windows nothing can read the temperature, HW monitor and afterburner. I can control the fan speed but only set it to 30% in afterburner otherwise, if i try set it to anything like 50% it just runs at 100%. This weekend that just went, i re installed a fresh new os and still having the same problem. Works perfectly fine for the time its on, as soon as i turn it off and then on again next day, its at 100%. If i use driver sweeper and get rid of drivers and put older ones on its still the same problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated? could it be hardware?

Kind regards

Connor

Hi.
If the cards are still OC'ed, revert to stock to do your troubleshooting. And use them individually to see if the problem persists on each one.
