Thread Starter
What do people expect them to start going for next month after Haswell ? I guess it will be hard to find them in any big retail store (the sandy's that is)

New and used btw

I'd expect no change in retail pricing for any of the Socket 1155 chips.

Because Intel doesn't cut prices to their distributors for "out-dated" chips. As such, retail pricing will largely stay the same.

I don't know why people expect CPU pricing to be similar to day-old doughnuts, but that's just not how Intel works.

Yeah, I really wouldn't expect much of a change in price. We aren't seeing the same jumps in performance from one generation to the next as we have in the past. The integrated video and mobile markets are where the large performance gains seem to be and people buying top end Sandy and Ivy bridge chips aren't usually concerned with this. Look at the jump from Sandy Bridge to Ivy Bridge. Prices actually went up on some of the Sandy chips after Ivy was released.

Places like Microcenter usually have good sales on chips / board combos before new releases.
Most retail sales before new stuff are meh (with Intel anyway), but you'll likely be able to snag a few good deals from people who are upgrading for the heck of it.

What would be a BAD price to pay for a used 1 on ebay, which is where I'd probably get SB or IB if I do at all
