GTX680 and HD5850 in the same system

Thread Starter
Hi there.

So i recently bought a used 5850 to use as a mining card (bitcoins). I also have installed in my system a GTX680 Lightning which is my primary graphics card.

When i installed the card, the system does not recognize the card. I downloaded the drivers and everytime i try to install them, my screen goes black and i loose the output from my 680 so i have to restart my pc. There is no output from the 5850 even if i restart the pc.

Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

Thank you

The reason this is occurring is because output is set through the AMD card when you install the drivers. I'd plug an monitor into it and see if you can switch the output back to the Nvidia card. I have no experience with using Nvidia and AMD cards at the same time other than the Physx hack, though. It sounds plausible, but not common.
