to update: now it barely starts at all. when it does start, none of the fans are spinning and it doesnt reach bios. sounds like a faulty motherboard to me?

that or cpu

you could maybe try takin it to PC place and ask them to check cpu, dunno if you can find a place that do it for free. it takes 1 minute. then if its ok u could replace mobo.

you wouldn't want to buy a replacement mobo and find out your cpu is toast. also this is behaviour that a bad PSU can be responsible for, but you have 1000W so it would have to be really bad, i doubt that's it.

Sometimes the computer stutters when starting, like an old car almost. Sometimes it doesnt even start, and sometimes it starts for a second or two. It's a really weird behavior but I feel like its the psu now? Especially with the stuttering, like it doesnt get enough power.

Can a faulty os cause any problems even remotely close to this? Because when it does start, and does boot, it never crashes before it reaches Windows. If I stay in BIOS, I can do that for hours, or if I run Windows repair, same thing. The moment I start Windows, or shortly after, it crashes and becomes unbootable. Then I have to wait a few hours again and hope that it boots again.
