Additionally, maybe your crossfire experience isn't indicative of the SLI experience. Just a wild guess. I won't bore you with frametime graphs of SLI in comparison to single GPU, but in many cases it is very very close or even - it just shows that nvidia's frame pacing technology is excellent.

You can either believe me or don't, I really don't care. I game at 1600p and the only game which occassionally dips to the mid 50s is crysis 3 with Very High quality settings and SMAA. If I lower that to FXAA or AA off, it is again a fluid 60. So, i'm sure a 670 sli or 760ti SLI will game just fine at 1600p. I also don't use 120hz, so I can't speak on that topic. There isn't a 1600p monitor that has a 120hz refresh rate, so that's a big off-topic to even discuss anyway.

If you really want to get technical, you can actually run two displays on Nvidias cards. You disable Nvidia Surround and use 3rd party options to drive the two displays. Most people just overlook this option as it isn't part of Nvidia's package, even though completely viable.

So, as I said, under the right conditions with a single 1600P display, he would be 'alright'. Which puts things firmly in subjective territory for what 'alright' actually means. I personally can't stand gaming at 60Hz/FPS, it looks like crap. Things smooth out towards ~85, but ideally anything over a 100 FPS.

The Dell uses the same 'cheap Korean' panel as the 'cheap Koreans'. You just get an OSD with the Dell, their name and warranty, and I believe DP input.

As I said in one of the first couple of replies here, the article is FULL of misinformation & outright wrong info that has already been proven to be something else. This is a worthless, out-of-date, *rumor* compilation.

That was post #5 here.

This ^^, don't want to fund Nvidia's greed..

Imagine if nobody bought the 780's and Nvidia had to give a decent price for them to sell.. Sadly this won't happen, people will be happily fleeced.. Nvidia laughing all the way to the bank at selling us more GK110 rejects and rebrands of the 6XX series.. Rebrands in the desktop space... If they were cheap it would be more acceptable but keeping prices high just by renaming the card 770 from 680 is a move to far imho.. The GTX 760 ti looks to be the best value of the upcoming rebrands but still shouldn't be what Nvidia will price it at.. Remember the GTX 760 ti '670' is actually a year old card already..

Only Nvidia could get away with rebranding an entire generation of GPU's and selling one 'new' GPU which is a GK110 compute reject.. It's actually ridiculous if you think about it.. AMD would be hung, drawn and quartered if they tried this..

Would love to be proved wrong and Nvidia price these things decently..
