7970 Underclocking

Thread Starter
Hey guys,
I have recently started running a 24/7 compute load on my 7970's which are voltage unlocked. I was wondering how low I can take the voltage (in Trixx) to reduce heat and still have 800mhz + clocks. I can run 1 card just fine at high clocks, but if I run both, the top one gets quite loud, so I think I may still have better overall performance if I could find some balance between the two cards clock thermal outputs and performance.

In short: Lowest stable 7970 voltage approximation thread.

Thanks for looking smile.gif

All cards are different, just test lower voltage out in increments. When you start to get fragmenting that probably as low as you can go.
