Temps HOT on Asus DC2-OG GTX 670 SLI

Hey guys, I just installed my second GTX 670 from Asus into my SOLO II case.. I realize the case is built for quietness and doesnt allow too much air as compared to some other cases. I am running 3 chassis fans and ofcourse both my asus cards are using two fans a piece.. my top card seems to be hot as heck running at up to 90c under load playing skyrim (with mods) and benchmarking with Heaven 4.0. My bottom is around 7 c cooler topping out at 83c.. are these temps too hot for my 670's? If so what do you recommend?

are you using a fan curve?

I am using max fans on cards with 70 c. Chassis using max fans also once mobo hits 44 c. No pics but cards are in standard sli slots using asus z68 v pro gen 3. The stock sli connector is just barely able to connect both cards.. I am estimating a few inches between cards.

im going to have to say it's your case airflow or you have warm ambient temps, with an inch or more in between cards the top card should not be hitting 70c @ 100% fan speed.

what were your GPU temps prior to installing the second 670?

I have more or less the same card the Asus GTX 680 CU II dual slot card is the same as the GTX 670 CU II i belive?

I was hitting max temps around 76 c when the 670 was alone. Temps are definately up all around. My setup looks very simular to that pic posted just now minus that fan under the bottom card.

Nice!! My setup is almost just like yours.. I don't have that fan under the bottom card though. I am using those quiet chassis fans that have low rpm.. I will look them up because I dont remember what they were.

That fan is the PSU fan so that does not have anything to do with the video cards

Strange your cards are so hot how many fans do you have in your case and what size?

I thought the 670/680 ran cooler than the 570/580..

Kinda makes me think twice about getting a 670 DCII mad.gif
