bigger case does not mean you need to sacrifice quietness, their are plenty mid-towers that are quiet and under $80-90 ..

keep us posted once you get those new fans, if it don't work out those fans can be used with a new case..

If you want a super case without going full tower there is the Cooler Master HAF XM but that case is like 150$ so its not cheap
But on the other hand you dont get a case much better then that

I am looking at these two fans. I am going to replace all 3 case fans that I am currently running which are the Antec TruQuiet's. I have narrowed it down to these..

So which would you recommend out of them? The Antec is a little cheaper but I certainly would pay the extra 15 bucks for all three if the cooler master is the better product.

If you buy those fans you are going to lose your hearing they are LOUD!

You can ask about 120mm fans here

The Antec case looks pretty nice, but I think the problem is running SLI in there with gpus that do not exhaust out the back, just too much heat being dumped into the case. New, more powerful case fans will certainly help (Noiseblocker makes nice quiet fans), but not sure that will get all you the way there. Some ideas...

* a new case with more ventilation (many midtowers to choose from)
* switch to gpus with shrouded blower-fan coolers (evga)
* add a fan inside the case, under the cage (like somebody else mentioned)
* remove the unused pci slot covers
* remove unused drive drawers
* clean up the cabling inside to run more behind the mb tray
* hack/cut out extra ventilation on the antec case, side and/or bottom fan mounts (brute force approach)

edit: i have a case with a similar layout and fan mounts, but only run a single shrouded gpu in it. to run sli, i'd want to upgrade my case first (see make believe build).

Does your case have a fan(s) on the side door? I'm not familar with you case, I wonder if you add any to locations in front of your top mounted PSU or along the bottom floor inside the case? Modding the case could be fun....

Honestly look at a new case man. three 120 fans aint much. you got what 140cfm in 70 out or something. most cases now hold up to 6 fans. 210cfm in 210 out if its all 120s can go higher if you get a case the supports 140s and more quite if you get one that supports 200mms. i had a case before that had only 3 case fans and after $60 upgrade i cant be happier. plus your cable management isn't really there with that case and is REALLY restricting air flow.

No side window or vent.. but my psu is top mounted and has a vent in the top of the case so that the psu stays cool.
