You did not answer what i asked

Is it a P or non P TR2 you have?

Sorry about that. I can't seem to find if it's a "P" or not. The model number is w0382ru.

Thats a a TR2 RX made by HEC and has problems with electrical noise

its also at least 4 years old

You sould replace it its not very good these day
While its not the worst PSU in the world it is below average by todays standard

its not even 80 plus certified

Your PSU is inefficient as hell and is wasting power and making heat for no good reason

Not trying to be rude or insult you

HEC = crap 98% of the time

Thanks for the info on the PSU. I just bought it last year from NEWEGG when I built I rig. I chose this PSU based on a decent review from Anandtech but I guess I chose wrong. The box does say 80 Bronze plus certified. The PSU is not loud at all and I can't even hear it really.. Not doubting your info though because you know more about this stuff than me ( I am still a newb with PC building).. No insult taken btw.

Think you misunderstood I said it has electrical noise not audio noise
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
In electronics, noise is a random fluctuation in an electrical signal, a characteristic of all electronic circuits.[1] Noise generated by electronic devices varies greatly, as it can be produced by several different effects. Thermal noise is unavoidable at non-zero temperature (see fluctuation-dissipation theorem), while other types depend mostly on device type (such as shot noise,[1][2] which needs steep potential barrier) or manufacturing quality and semiconductor defects, such as conductance fluctuations, including 1/f noise.

As good advice always ask if you have a question that way you avoid what you have done and spent money on an old case and on a old below average PSU

People on OCN always question people with unbranded or lesser branded PSU's and while i understand where they are coming from, i don't think it's the be all and end all.

They CAN cause damage to your hardware if they fail but its rare.

I had an old Jeantech PSU a few years back, never had a single issue and my friend is still using it today without issue but i guess there's always that risk.

Keep your eye out for a bargain and you might find one on offer sometime, I found my Corsair HX1050 for £64.99 on play.com and they are supposed to be £180! I think they made a typo but sold it to be at that price anyway!

As i said previously, i tried well over 5 fans, the best fan to cool these Asus cards is the Gentle Typhoon AP-15's. All the others were louder and werent as effective for cooling the cards. These cards need a direct source of cold air, the side panel is the ideal place for it, shame theres no option on your case.

You got any pics of your build so we have a better understanding of your setup / problem?
