I think overclocking is worth it if you're a gamer and your gpu is struggling a little in games, maybe you're only getting 40-55 fps. By overclocking, you can hopefully give the gpu enough power to push around 60fps, which is optimal for a 60Hz monitor. If you're on a 60Hz monitor and getting a solid 70+ fps though, you're not going to notice any difference, so imo the lower temps of a stock setting are preferable.
