I really don't know. Although that is a fairly mild overclock, there is no guarantee of stability. Also, I am not sure that mobo's VRM's have heatsinks. If not, that would certainly be even worse.

You may get away with it, but its a gamble

All piledriver cpu's perform the same. All depends on clock speed.

If you look at the benches you will see they are grabbing info for the fx6300 from one site and the fx6350 from another site. This is very odd they as the two sites may be using different hardware configs and settings in bios. The fx6350 would be the better way fo go out of the 2 CPU's.

You stated the FX8320 is only 20 more and were interested in it. I would have to say the FX8320 would be a great choice, it also overclocks like a dream. Don't listen to anyone stating the FX8350 is better as it is not (when OCed).

If going with an fx8320 or overclocking the FX6350 (and you will as its fun as hell to OC) I would not recommend any mobo without 8+2 phase CPU power and LLC options

Those benches just can't be right at all.

if he's over clocking the 6350 he could easily go for a 4-2 with heatsink a 8-2 power phase motherboard costs more than the chip lol

Those benches are garbage and its best to ignore that. 6350 is clocked higher than a 6300 and will perform better out of the box
