[Various] Xbox One Reveal - Page 106

It would still have to be installed on your friends Xbox too, since games won't launch from the disc.

HA! Well what do you know? The rumors were true. I will have to research this properly when I get some time.

- Fees to activate used games
- TV stuff I don't care about because I don't watch TV
- Partnership with THE WORST company in gaming history
- Always online
- Still no free online compatability
- Having a paid audience clap when EA enters the stage because you know real gamers would boo

Well done Microsoft, you have gone OUT OF YOUR WAY to lose me as a customer.

Same... and yet Forza is the only thing making me want it. I literally only use my 360 for Forza these days...

Console exclusives were one of the main reasons for even owning one. Looks like XBOX will be cutting out some of the other benefits with this new One.... making it an even less savory choice compared to PC gaming.

XBOX One = glorified HTPC?

LOL All I know is I'm getting more requests than ever to start building people light gaming rigs.

This generation of consoles is doing more for the PC than they realize.

encapsulates my whole feeling on 1080p vs 4k. We only really just got to run games nice at 1080p on your average PC rig let alone consoles. Those people who want 4k probably didn't sit back watching Toy Story 3 thinking if only this had more pixels (unless they had it all setup wrong) my jaw hit the floor watching it on a 84" screen @ a lowly 1080p with the clarity of the image, id trade 4k for those visuals ANY day !

that's not to say that 4k up-scaling if done properly might not improve things? but then again input lag would probably increase too much as it will for all the new 2014 4k sets people plug their PS4, Xbox one into.. only the PC would play native.

So thats something to watch out for when buying a 4k TV for a console, you could be losing 2-3 frames of lag easily perhaps more

those consoles can't play 4k with crisp quality it'll be blurry stretched up graphics all over again like ps360

so we might not see advanced physics in 4K res it'll be 1080 or less stretched to 4k res

i'd rather playing native 1080p
i hope ms doesn't charge extra to get the same functionality funneled through the xbox. having to pay to use netflix on a 360, that's sad

Neither of these systems has the power to even run 360 or ps3 games at 4k, let alone new games thumb.gif

It's either possible now, or it's not at all.  Not unless they're using some special organic APU's that grow with time and get stronger lol.
